Wedding professionals are constantly looking for the perfect shoe to take care of our poor, often-aching feet on wedding days. Wedding photographers, planners, caterers, floral designers...the list goes on, but most of us are on our feet for hours upon hours doing labor-intensive work! The next day we wake up with what we lovingly refer to as a 'wedding hangover' - exhaustion, elation, and feet and knees that hurt.

Not only do they claim comfort and support, they also look professional enough to wear during a wedding ceremony because if sneakers were an option, most of us would probably choose them! I have such a strong admiration for military men and women and the loved ones they leave behind when they are deployed. Anthony and Gabby, engaged during the Thanksgiving season, are on the verge of a long deployment as they begin the wedding planning process. Yet they took in the prospect of separation with all smiles knowing, as Anthony pointed out, that the sooner he leaves the sooner he will be able to come back home.

We met one evening in beautiful Colonial Williamsburg, with arching trees and quaint brick buildings lining the streets. Gabby wore the most incredibly colorful jumpsuit to begin, and they both stood out amidst the green and neutral tones of the background. The biggest thing that stuck out about their relationship was her laughter, and how with one word he could make her smile which quickly turned to giggles, a relationship based on sheer love and joy...
