As the title of this blog suggests, I recently picked up a fancy new computer for my business - in fact, I'm typing on it right now! I knew for awhile that I needed to purchase a laptop, but I spent awhile agonizing over my decision. In my heart of hearts I wanted to buy a Mac - they are so pretty, I love how they work, and they are almost industry standard for photographers. I almost felt out of place for considering a Windows computer...
It's been a whirlwind few months! In January Nathan and I visited West Africa, then at the end of February I headed to Charleston with friends for a retreat. Just a few days later my younger sister and I flew to Phoenix, Arizona, during her spring break to hang out and visit our grandma. Now I'm back at home, with wedding travel on the horizon. It's been fun!
Monday was our travel day, so not much exciting happened there except the renewed realization that airport food is far too expensive. Paying $5 for a bag of popcorn is not my idea of a bargain! Our connection between planes was so tight that by the time we RAN to the next gate the plane was boarding, but we made it in time...
The other day I realized that even though I write a lot about what's going on with Nathan and me, it's been a long time since I've given an official update. A lot has happened, some of which my faithful blog readers already know about, but some of it has happened behind the scenes in the last few months. So here's what's going on in our lives!
Adoption - by now you probably know what happened when our adoption fell through in a tragic way last month. We are officially back on the waiting list, and are again waiting for a call. This is a little scary to me and I'm honestly not sure how I will react when we do hear about another child, but I know we are both ready to be parents...
