When Michael and Erica talked about their wedding day, they dreamed big. They wanted a destination wedding that made the most of their love for the fall leaves. They wanted an estate-style reception hall that showcased the beauty of Asheville's surrounding scenery. At the end of the day, though, the thing they wanted most could happen anywhere - they wanted to be married after two long years of being engaged!
Thankfully every item was checked off their list, and after a long but much-needed wait, the day of their marriage finally came. Erica was calm as always, chatting casually with her best girls as she got ready for the day. When it came time for their meaningful Catholic mass to celebrate their nuptials, both she and Michael were more than ready. She was walking down the aisle to the man of her dreams, her best friend, and the one she will spend the rest of her life with.
One of my favorite things about their day (that I still can't get over!) is that Erica's bouquet was made of WOOD. Yep - you read that correctly! This handmade beauty was rich with the marsala and white wedding colors and looked absolutely stunning against her Watters wedding gown. Their day was perfectly fall-themed from beginning to end and when it finally came to the last dance and sparkler exit, both of them knew they had chosen the perfect place - and the perfect person.
Michael and Erica, thank you for allowing me the privilege of being at your wedding! It was relaxed, beautiful, and full of meaning throughout each moment. Even though you chose a destination wedding location I'm so glad you live close so I can keep in touch for many years to come.

After saying their I do's, we headed over to their reception and captured the gorgeous fall foliage and the estate background where they would celebrate with family and friends!
We could have taken portraits forever, but the reception was starting and it was time to DANCE!
Isn't their cake incredible?! Michael and Erica wanted it to look just like their surroundings...I would say they matched the fall theme perfectly!
We couldn't help but sneak back outside for some bonus portraits with a beautiful fall backdrop during the reception!
Everyone had a blast dancing right up until the sparkler exit and send-off for the new husband and wife!
