Dylan & Mary Durr // Wedding

I am so blessed to be able to work full-time at a job that I really enjoy! I am even more blessed by my coworkers, who have become like family to me. I have the privilege or working with Tracye every day, and it is beyond wonderful. She's my work mom :) When I found out that her oldest son, Dylan, was engaged, I was SO excited! It was even more exciting to be able to take engagement pictures, and then follow up by shooting their wedding!

The day of the wedding was beautiful. Mary and Dylan were both SO relaxed, and genuinely just had a great time with their friends, family, and each other.  It was a packed house at the ceremony - so many people had come to wish the couple happiness in their life together!

During their ceremony, Dylan and Mary took some time to pray together privately. I've never seen that - usually it's the unity candle/sand/something else - but I loved it. What a great way to start off a marriage.

Dylan and Mary - congratulations! I wish you the best life together and all the happiness in the world. Thanks for letting me be there for your special day. It was truly a blessing!

New Mexico // Wedding Rehearsal

So...I went to New Mexico last week! My cousin Alex was getting married, and the whole family was able to go (minus three spouses, including mine).. It was so much fun. The wedding was awesome and filled with laughter and the sweetest moments...I cried the whole time. I'm so happy for Alex and his new wife, Heather. They're going to Africa in a few months with Overland Missions, and I couldn't be more proud!

The rehearsal dinner last Friday was a ton of fun. I was strictly a guest at the wedding, but I got to take pictures of our practice - I don't really know how much rehearsal got done. So, enjoy a few pictures of my crazy family, and some of the happiest two people I've ever met.

Oh, and if you want to actually see what New Mexico looks like (believe me, it's way different than Virginia!) just follow me on instagram (mariagracephotography) or click here

Eden & Ryan // Wedding

A couple weeks ago, I got the opportunity to second shoot for Dani of White Photography.  I had such a great time! It was a beautiful day at the Jasmine Plantation near Richmond, and Eden and Ryan were a beautiful couple. There were so many cute little details that I loved - matching bathrobes for the bridesmaids, Eden's childhood blankie as a wrap for her bouquet, and jewelry that Eden's dad gave her to wear on her wedding day.

It was my first time shooting a first look, and that was one of the most precious moments of the whole day. Eden and Ryan so obviously love each other and are so excited to spend the rest of their lives together. Not only that - they know how to have fun! The reception was a blast, and I don't think there was ever a moment that someone was NOT dancing.

Eden & Ryan, thank you for the opportunity to allow me to come on your special day. I pray the best for your lives together, and I'm so thankful that I got to be there. I hope your marriage is full of all the happiness that you two had on your wedding day.
