Cedar Room Charleston Wedding | Charleston Wedding Photographer | Heath + Kate

The word that most comes to mind when I see Heath and Kate together is joyful. I remembered from their engagement session that they couldn't stop laughing together, and their wedding day only heightened their happiness. Full of energy and excitement at what was to come, the two were all nerves before their first look because they just couldn't WAIT to see each other! The reaction was beautiful, and each interaction from then on was a reminder of the love they have built through their relationship and the beautiful marriage that is sure to follow.

As far as location, Heath and Kate could NOT have picked a more gorgeous place than his home, quaint Charleston, to get married. From a first look near the Charleston Battery right by the water to a gorgeous navy and gold reception at The Cedar Room in the heart of downtown, every detail screamed elegant, Southern charm. Wine colored anemones and lush cascading greenery made me fall in love with Kate's bouquet, and classy tuxes paired perfectly with the towering trees in the background of all their pictures...

The Honest Truth about...My Travels | Monday Musings

The Honest Truth about...My Travels | Monday Musings

I travel...a lot. If you've been following me for any length of time you know that's true. In the past 18 months alone I've been to Africa twice, San Francisco, Arizona, New York (twice), Nashville, Lake Tahoe, Dallas, Philadelphia, West Virginia, Washington D.C., and possibly more places that I'm forgetting right now. This year I've got trips to Slovenia, Reading (Pennsylvania), Maggie Valley (North Carolina), and more planned. Some of these are for weddings or business travel, but many are not.

Of course, most of you know that I am also not independently wealthy, despite the massive amount of traveling I'm able to do. So how is it that I'm able to go where my heart desires whenever I want? Here is The Honest Truth...

My Big Dreams for 2017 | Personal

My Big Dreams for 2017 | Personal

Right now is one of those rare times when I'm ignoring my to-do list for something much more fun. Last year my big dream was to go full time with my business, and lo and behold it happened this February! Some days I honestly still look around and feel like I'm dreaming because I get to work from home with my puppy, have coffee with friends when I want, and visit family during the week when it's slow season. Everyone has bad days, but I wouldn't trade this for the world.

Did I ever think this would happen? Yes and no. It felt too big, but I know how ambitious I am so I knew there was a possibility. Speaking it out loud was terrifying and thrilling, so now I want to jump into the rest of 2016 with my big dreams for next year in mind. Without further ado, here's what I would LOVE to make happen for next year!
