Warning: I am about to show something entirely different than what I have done before on my blog today...but I am excited about it! A few weeks ago I was contacted by a local Williamsburg fashion designer, TJ Sewer, who was working on her brand new spring lookbook for 2016 and needed a photographer to capture her new outfits. After chatting with her a few minutes I knew I was on board - and I immediately started researching the fashion world to ensure the results made her happy!
The day of the shoot was crazy. Of course Hampton Roads weather is unpredictable and rain was on the schedule, so we bumped up the shoot. Between the outfits and coordination, Tabitha did an incredible job of making sure everything was on schedule. And of course the amazing Victoria Berkeley was on hand to make the models look absolutely fabulous in their hair and makeup.
In the end, the sun shone and the day could not have been more beautiful. One of the models turned on some Ke$ha in the background and we got in the zone. The results are stunningly different from what I am used to, but it was so much fun to be pushed out of my area of comfort for a few hours. The next day I got an exciting call from Tabitha - a local magazine saw behind the scenes photos and is going to publish a few spreads on her collection this summer. What a way to celebrate!
