Excitement. It was written all over Jen's face all morning as she anticipated what the rest of the wedding day would hold. She couldn't stop from smiling as she opened her gift from Doug and wiped the tears away, or as she slipped into her wedding gown, or as she began to walk down the aisle toward her groom. Jen's laughter is one of her best features, and all day long it rang out as she celebrated the most joyful day of her life.
Doug and Jen are deeply committed to one another, and it showed throughout their day. Two pastors spoke during the ceremony - one who Doug has known from childhood and one who became important to them as they met and began to date at their Bible study. The best man told stories of how deeply Jen would listen whenever Doug taught the lesson, and the maid of honor recounted how much stronger Jen and Doug are together than they were before they became one.
Stormy weather threatened all week long but when Sunday finally came the sun shone from start to finish, a clear picture of the happiness Doug and Jen have brought into each other's lives. With the beautiful architectural backdrop of Christopher Newport University for portraits and the love of friends and family that surrounded them, these two started their marriage and their lives together on the best foot possible. Congratulations, Doug and Jen!

Doug's gift to her was a beautiful Tiffany & Co. bracelet engraved with her NEW initials.
It was hot out, but the programs actually doubled as an adorable fan!
These are two of my favorite moments...the first needs no explanation and in the second, Jen and Doug shared communion and a prayer together during a quiet ceremony moment.
Congratulations, Doug and Jen!
