Hurricane Dorian threatened to ruin their day in a dozen different ways. First, there was the outdoor ceremony - it would have to be moved from the original place. Then, there was the Botanical Gardens themselves - would it be too muddy to get good pictures? On top of that, many family and friends were traveling from far away, and one bridesmaid got stuck in Los Angeles, frantically trying to arrive before the ceremony started.
Yet somehow, everything fell into place on Saturday for TJ and Jessica. What started as a backup ceremony location turned into a spot even more beautiful than the first. The Gardens dried up quickly and between the Rose Garden and the wildflowers, their portraits couldn’t have been more beautiful. Miraculously, Jessica’s final bridesmaid landed just over an hour before the wedding and, because the venue was so close to the airport, she made it in time. The rain held off, the sun came out, and their wedding day was one for the record books.
Together, TJ and Jessica are some of the most easygoing, fun-loving people I have met. They were both so excited for all that the wedding day held, despite a few hiccups along the way. Their smiles were genuine and their laughs came easily, and I lost count of how many times these sweet, generous people thanked me - that doesn’t often happen on wedding days! Add to that a gorgeous venue, flowing eucalyptus bouquets, and a vendor dream team, and this is a wedding I wish I could relive over and over again.
TJ and Jessica - Saturday was simply perfect. You two obviously know how lucky you are to have found each other. You are better together than you are alone, and I am just thankful I got to witness your love story unfold. May your happiness last forever!

I loved their ‘new last name’ sign, and I couldn’t help photograph the rings on it!
Like I said, the backup rain plan was probably even more beautiful than the original location!
The sunset light in the gardens was the perfect setting for some gorgeous after-ceremony pictures!
The wildflower field was simply magical!
Congratulations, TJ and Jessica!
