When we picked a date for Trey and Kristina's engagement session, we had no idea it would be the HOTTEST day of the year so far - and, in classic Hampton Roads style, the humidity was almost overwhelming! I was expecting a request to reschedule but instead these two showed up, all smiles, ready to rock the evening and prepared for lots of snuggles despite the weather. And it was all worth it, because when a classic Virginia Beach storm rolled into the sky, we not only avoided getting rained on but also got some epic portraits to end the evening as well!
First Landing State Park is one of my favorite places to visit. Between the Spanish moss, the dreamy light, and easy access to a beach right across the way, there's such a variety of beautiful locations for any engagement session. Kristina, equally obsessed with these details, also picked the perfect outfits for both locations, which isn't always easy to do!
These two are getting married in less than two months at the Historic Post Office and while I know their day will be beautiful, I'm even more excited about how much fun we'll have. We ended the evening in hugs, lots of laughter, and a friendship that will make their wedding day that much more personal. I can't wait to see you both again soon, Trey and Kristina!

For the first half we enjoyed the shady side, and when we headed to the beach the sun dipped behind some clouds to make it a little bit cooler and so very pretty.
Like I said...the ending was EPIC.
