There are some moments during weddings that are so meaningful and special that as they happen, I know they will stick in my memory forever. At Andrew and Lauren’s wedding on a beautiful fall day at the Lesner Inn, it was something besides the obvious wedding day excitement and events that will forever be a part of me. What I will remember is the interaction between Andrew, Lauren, and their son as they finally acknowledged what has been true for years - that they are a family. The embraces they shared, the love that is so obvious between them, and the happy tears welling up in their eyes were all markers of a special moment in their lives that none of us will ever forget.
Beyond those sweet memories, it was clear Lauren worked hard to make her wedding day beautiful from start to finish. Puffy white flowers covered the tables, a semi-naked white and gold wedding cake was a gorgeous centerpiece, and the ceremony on the back deck as the sun set was the perfect way to cap off a quintessential Virginia Beach wedding. Each element was planned with a purpose, down to the coordinated first dance between Andrew and Lauren, and it was clear the love flowed through it all.
Andrew and Lauren, I am so happy that your family is officially official - and what a beautiful way to celebrate that happening! I’m so grateful I could be there to witness it all, and I hope your life together is filled with nothing but happiness and beautiful memories like this one.
