Old Mill Rose Valley Wedding | Philadelphia Wedding Photographer | DJ + Sam

In my heart is adventure and a love for travel, so being able to photograph a destination wedding in Philadelphia was everything I had hoped for...and meeting wonderfully sweet people like DJ, Sam, and their friends and families made the weekend utterly perfect. These two are seemingly opposite from first impressions - Sam is the chatty one in their relationship, while DJ is on the quieter side. Where she moves around from table to table engaging with as many people as possible, he watches her with pride and love. And where she dances like crazy and starts rap battles on the dance floor, he has the most fun being by her side.

But where the two are most alike is first in their love for each other. Kind, supportive, and caring, each look they share and each smile at each other is full of nothing but joy and a sweet understanding. During their wedding mass they continued to whisper to each other and share smiles as they officially became husband and wife. And when we traveled to The Old Mill at Rose Valley to finish out their wedding day with bride and groom portraits, DJ held his new bride close as they looked forward to the future to come...

Nautical Navy Poquoson Summer Wedding | Poquoson Wedding Photographer | Alex + Ellen

From start to finish, it was obvious that Alex and Ellen are much beloved by their friends and family. I lost count of how many people (besides the amazing vendors) helped make their day memorable – from a last-minute reception venue change to all the hard work her mom poured into each detail, these two are certainly blessed by the people who will surround them for the rest of their lives. A relationship that started at Longwood University has blossomed into a love that will forever be remembered on a beautiful wedding day in Poquoson.

Ellen chose to not just have one but TWO first looks – first with her dad, a tear-jerker if I ever saw one, and then with her groom, a touching tribute to the two most important men in her life. As she gripped her dad’s arm and walked down the aisle to say yes to the one she has built a new life with, everyone knew that the life she already had would not be soon forgotten...

If I could photograph elopements for the rest of my life I would be happy! There's something so amazing about a couple who wants to celebrate the intimacy of their marriage more than anything else on their special day. For Alex and Tiffany, after 4 years of life and a daughter together, it just made sense to say yes forever. But the love between these two was obvious from the first moment Alex broke out into a grin when he saw his bride to the very end of this beautiful day.

These two met by chance - they both attended different colleges and Alex happened to see his future wife one day on his campus. Although at first he told me she did not even pay a little bit of attention to him, it was only a matter of time until she recognized this gem of a man and began to fall in love. Fast forward to last Saturday as the two met at the historic Tuckahoe Plantation wedding to begin their married life together and bring their story full circle...
