Dylan & Mary // Engagement

Tracye and I have worked together for about 6 months now and during that time, her oldest son has been at home, left for boot camp, completed boot camp, and visited over Christmas. When he did visit, Dylan proposed to his girlfriend, Mary, at the airport when she picked him up.

It was so fun hearing all the details about the ring, the proposal, and everything that went along with it at work every day, so I was really excited when Tracye asked me to take their engagement pictures. It was cold out, but we had a lot of fun, especially when the whole family took a few portraits. Sandy Bottom Park was so crisp and beautiful, and I was so happy with the results!

Also on a side note, I just started a Facebook page for my photography business! If you haven't already, check it out here. I'll be posting sneak peeks, exciting news, upcoming events, and other stuff, so feel free to like it and follow along with me!

Megan // Portraits

Thanksgiving was wonderful! I hope all of you enjoyed it as much as I did. I got a chance to go visit family, run a 5k on Thursday morning, make and eat a ton of food (next post: Pumpkin Pie and Frozen Peanut Butter Pie!), and my sister let me take some portraits of her.

Megan is 16 years old and a junior in high school. She is working at a retirement home as a food server right now, and all the residents love her. She works hard at school and plays flute in the marching band. Right now, she's thinking about being a journalist and plans on applying to a few very competitive schools next year. I can't believe she's already thinking about going to college, but I'm so proud of her! I hope you enjoy these beautiful pictures of her.

Also, I may sneak a few pictures of my dog in there...just maybe.
