Fox Hole Kingdom at Solid Rock Church // Hampton Roads Photographer

Well, I hope you aren't sick of these guys yet, because you're going to see a lot more of them coming up, and in the future as they get their name out there and keep getting better and better! Fox Hole Kingdom was invited to play at the Harvest Festival for Solid Rock Church in Chesapeake. They totally rocked the house, and had a mob of people rush to the stage to dance and sing along by the third song! You'll see that in a couple pictures below =)

The congregation at Solid Rock Church was so kind and generous towards myself and the band, and they just enjoyed the beautiful fall weather, inflatables, and food (of course!). One part of being a photographer that I just LOVE is meeting people I never would have otherwise met and visiting new places, and this was no exception. All of us had a great time!

Liberty Fest 2013 // Hampton Roads Photographer

It finally came! My church has been working towards this year's Liberty Fest for so long, and it was all worth it last Sunday!  Thousands of people came to eat barbecue and fried chicken, stop by the funnel cake stand, ride some fun amusements, and race go karts on a track right in the middle of our parking lot! It's amazing to see such a big event come together every year, and it takes hundreds of volunteers to pull it off. The day couldn't have been more beautiful - I forgot to wear sunscreen unfortunately - and it seemed like everyone had a great time.

We wrapped up with giveaways, and I knew a few people that won. It's so fun to see their excitement, and the prizes (gift cards, iPads, Chick-fil-A for a year, and a CAR) are always fantastic. The winner of the new car this year was a 12 year old, and you'll see that his parents were a lot more excited about it than he was! If you live in Hampton Roads and were able to come, I hope you had a blast and if you missed out, be sure to come next year. Enjoy these fun pictures from a very fun day!

Harbour View Grand Opening // Hampton Roads Photographer

Well, last weekend was the big weekend. My church's second campus opened, and it was a great weekend! I  get such an adrenaline rush from shooting I went home and crashed after the block party and Sunday morning, but it wasn't as hard as I thought to shoot with one arm (minus the post-event exhaustion). It was loads of fun actually - even though I haven't been doing photography for a really long time, it's easy to take the same pictures without thinking about them, and this really forced me to think outside the box. 

But onto the big event...Saturday and Sunday were a huge success! The community really came out to the block party to tour the church, and we had so many new visitors on Sunday asking questions and getting excited about what was going on. Everything went pretty smoothly and really came together. It was fun to see all of our hard work in action - makes it worth it every time. 

I hope you were there at one or both days to see this for yourself, but if not, you can get at least a taste of what it was like. Join us one Sunday!
