Matt and Lizzie's wedding day was made special not only by the people who were there, but by those who were not there any longer. Both families held on to the memories of precious loved ones who had passed on in the years prior, and Lizzie held them close on her wedding day. From start to finish, the whole wedding can be summed up in just one sentence, Lizzie's answer to my question about her biggest reason for being excited: "I just can't wait to marry my best friend."
So, surrounded by bridesmaids in pretty blush dresses with floral crowns and contagious laughter, Lizzie created a day worth remembering forever. What struck me most was the relationship she had with each one of her ladies - they are all fiercely protective of each other, and they were officially letting Matt into that circle of trust to take care of Lizzie for the rest of their lives.
At their first look, Matt couldn't take his eyes away from his bride. He held her close and whispered in her ear on a day that was over 2 years in that making - but a day they had both truly been waiting for their entire lives. With a glowing sunset and the most perfect weather as a backdrop, the two promised to spend every moment from that day forward seeking to love each other better every day.

While the ladies got ready, the guys hung out and prepared for the day ahead.
Matt waited patiently for Lizzie as we prepared for the first look right by Yorktown Memorial Bridge.
My favorite parts of the first look are the moments right before and after the two see each other for the first time.
After a sweet time with just the two of them, the entire bridal party came and met us for more portraits.
We headed over to the Yorktown Freight Shed so Matt and Lizzie could finally say their I do's...
Then it was onto the party! And can we just talk about how much I LOVE cupcake towers as wedding cakes?!
As the reception continued, we snuck away for a few portraits as the sun set over Yorktown Beach...
And when we returned, amidst toasts and music and laughter, the guests danced the night away to end a most perfect day.
