A Few of My Favorite Things... // Spady Sunday

I'm officially joining the loud chorus of people so excited about fall that we can't contain it to just us. We have to tell everyone! I think fall might be the most universally loved season. I hear complaints about the cold winter, muggy summer, or spring allergies all the time. But fall brings something a little magical, even if it means we're on the path to winter or still trying to remember the warmth of the last few months.

I do love summer, truthfully, but I feel like I enjoy the fall the most. So, in no particular order, here are a few of my favorite things about fall:

Driving to work in the darkness and not having to fully wake up just quite yet...
The urge to buy pumpkin, and put it in everything. Speaking of...
Pumpkin pie, my favorite dessert
Carving pumpkins. Honestly, I could write a whole post just about pumpkin, but I'll practice a little restraint
Crunching apples
When all of a sudden you look out the window and each leaf is its own beautiful color of red, orange, or gold
Sitting in my rocking chair with a blanket to read my Bible
Hot spiced apple cider
Big, comfy sweaters
Not having to wear a winter coat just yet
Umm...FOOTBALL
Salted caramel mochas. Probably the best thing to happen to coffee, ever

I think, above all else, my favorite thing about fall is the feeling in the air. It makes me want to wake up slowly, make peachy pancakes and hot coffee, and curl up by a window in the warmth of my house with a good book. Every other season makes me feel antsy and rushed but in the fall I finally feel like I can slow down. And that's just what I'm going to do.

How about you? What is your most favorite thing about fall?

My name is Maria, and I am a wedding and family photographer based out of Hampton Roads, Virginia, but I am always excited about traveling. I love families who truly enjoy spending time with each other and living life together. I love couples that are looking forward to their wedding day because they are so excited to finally be married to.
