Brandon & Jasmyn // Maternity

I feel like this has been a long time coming...but really it's only been about a week and a half since I first met Jasmyn and Brandon. Time flies!

Anyways, Jasmyn is due this fall with a little baby girl named Sanaa, which means brilliance. Even though I've never heard that name before, I love it! Pregnancy suits Jasmyn well - she was glowing, and she and Brandon looked so happy together. She is so sweet and soft spoken, and she's going to be an amazing mom. I can't wait to see little Sanaa when she is born, and I'm so excited for this soon-to-be family.

Also, on a totally-nerdy-photography note, Windsor Castle Park is an AMAZING place to take pictures. There's red barns, a field, a lake, a pier, and woods. So incredible. It doesn't hurt to have some of the most beautiful people in my pictures either! So without further ado, here's Brandon, Jasmyn, and Sanaa!

Harper's First // Birthday

This, my friends, was a fun one! A couple months ago, Harper's mom, Kasie, asked if I would be available to shoot Harper's 1st birthday party. Of course I said yes - and that's before I knew how fun it would be! Kasie went ALL OUT with a Dr. Seuss theme - from Lorax decorations to a hand-painted Thing 1 & 2 face-in-the-hole to green eggs and ham, to the most perfect dress for little Harper, this was one adorable birthday party.

All of Harper's family came to celebrate, and between a backyard slip & slide (y'all remember those?), food fresh from the grill, and a ton of people who all love each other, I'm SO glad that Harper will one day be able to look back on all the pictures of her friends and family that love her enough to drive from Richmond and beyond. Their family is so blessed to be able to come together and celebrate, and I was so blessed to be there to have fun and meet each one of them.

Happy birthday, Harper! May all your birthdays be as joyful as this one. Kasie and Steve, thanks so much for letting me be a part of this special day. I know I will never forget it, and I hope you enjoy these photographs to remember it by for many years to come!

Micah & Kelsey // Maternity

Y'all...this was probably my favorite shoot so far. I'm just so excited about it!

I've known Micah pretty much since I was born. Mostly because he's my brother =) He married Kelsey a little less than 2 years ago, and on Christmas announced to us that they're expecting their first baby. It's a girl, and I couldn't be more excited to meet her. I may have already bought her some Piglet-style leggings to wear...maybe.

This past weekend, my husband and I went to visit them for a couple days. Our time with them was short, and Micah had to work for a lot of the time we were there. Thankfully, though, we had time for a few pictures before we left. It was the middle of the day (admittedly not ideal for pictures) and we only had about 15 minutes but I couldn't have asked for a better shoot. Micah and Kelsey love each other so much, and are so excited to expand their family. And I'm so excited for them!

I can't wait to meet my niece, and I hope you share in their joy and excitement as you look through some pictures from that beautiful day.
