John and Lauren are two wonderful individuals, but together they clearly make each other better. Both were a little nervous as they got ready to see each other one one of the prettiest days of the year, but their expressions and excitement at the first look were all worth the wait. They instantly relaxed, completely confident in their choice of their forever partner. Lauren’s smile could not have been bigger, and John treated her like the princess she is all day long.

The Smithfield Winery is one of the best wedding venues in Hampton Roads. The modern but rustic interior makes everything and everyone look instantly gorgeous, and beautiful natural light flows in from all angles. Everly After Events made the space absolutely perfect, with elegant florals, copper chargers, and cute little touches like a fun DIY photobooth and dog treat bags for guests with furry family members at home. If the day was beautiful the night was even more so, twinkle lights and all. Customized donuts and a harpist who played some of the prettiest wedding music I’ve heard were just the cherry on top of a stunning and memorable day…

Seeing Ryan and Stephanie together is like seeing two people who have been married for a long time…in fact, on their wedding day, they had already been married for a year and they wanted to celebrate with everyone who is near and dear to them! Foremost among their guests was sweet Ryleigh, their daughter, who is a symbol of how strong their relationship is - because let’s be real, if you can survive the newborn months together it says a lot about how much you can withstand! She has the biggest smiles and adores her mommy and daddy. I know she’s going to look back on the sweet wedding pictures when she is older, and that made it even more meaningful to capture the day.

I’m convinced that wedding at the Historic Post Office are stunning just because of the venue itself, and this spring day with all the blue and gray tones was no exception. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom for their sunset portraits and the rain stopped just in time to head outside for pictures after the ceremony. At the end of the day, Stephanie and Ryan wanted to have fun, enjoy the day, and spend time with their best friends. Their wedding was a representation of all that, and it was beautiful from beginning to end.

They planned to get married in October, but as time passed Joe and Erin realized they didn’t want to wait any longer. They knew who they were going to marry and they wanted it to happen soon. She got her dress, they found the perfect place, and the rest would play itself out on a windy but beautiful day in March.

Before their first look, Joe and Erin were nervous, not because they lacked confidence in their soon-to-be-spouse, but because they just couldn’t believe the day had arrived. She wore the perfect tulle dress and skipped fancy shoes, carrying a bouquet of wildflowers as she walked down the makeshift aisle on the sand. After they said I do they shared their first dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect,” and both shed tears of joy…
