They planned to get married in October, but as time passed Joe and Erin realized they didn’t want to wait any longer. They knew who they were going to marry and they wanted it to happen soon. She got her dress, they found the perfect place, and the rest would play itself out on a windy but beautiful day in March.

Before their first look, Joe and Erin were nervous, not because they lacked confidence in their soon-to-be-spouse, but because they just couldn’t believe the day had arrived. She wore the perfect tulle dress and skipped fancy shoes, carrying a bouquet of wildflowers as she walked down the makeshift aisle on the sand. After they said I do they shared their first dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect,” and both shed tears of joy…

My Other Five Jobs | Business

This little blog has always been a place where I can share about so much more than photography. I’ve written about our adoption journey, our marriage, our moves, and how life has changed over the past several years. Yet there’s one piece of my life that I haven’t shared in the interest of keeping photography as the focal point, but I think it’s finally time!

Truth is, I’ve been doing a lot more than just wedding and family photography for the last six years. Various jobs have come and gone, but a lot of my time is spent not just booking sessions and editing pictures, but filling out the role of digital and social media marketing for a number of different clients as well. I’ve never advertised this or even talked about it, but slowly the opportunities have grown, and since I truly enjoy this side of my business I’ve never been able to turn them down! So, in addition to photography, here are the other things I’m doing right now…

When I was thinking about what I could blog, I looked back on my schedule and realized I haven’t posted an update about Willow in forever! I’ve never been one to stick to a regular schedule with this, but she has grown immensely since the last time I talked about her - in fact, she was just a baby in my eyes when she was last featured on my blog! Today she is a full-fledged toddler, and only a few months away from turning 2, which seems absolutely impossible as I think back on the 5lb 14oz baby I held just moments ago…

There were flashes of Willow’s personality that we saw from the beginning. She has never been a snuggler, and she has always been happy being held or played with by (almost) anyone. Even when she was tiny she had never met a stranger, and all this continues to be true…
